Outreach and Service

I am committed to broadening the reach and appeal of philosophy. For instance, as part of my UNC Adams Fellowship in Public Humanities, I provided editorial assistance to Luc Bovens for his book Coping and his online lesson plans based on the book. Both works are intended to make philosophy more accessible and widely available, including to high school students and teachers. Last academic year, as a Graduate Fellow at the UNC Parr Center for Ethics, I wrote Ethics Bowl cases and served as a judge at both the North Carolina High School Ethics Bowl and the National High School Ethics Bowl.

About Me

Before completing my PhD at UNC, I earned a MA in philosophy from University of Washington, Seattle and a BA in philosophy, as well as a physics minor, from University of Maryland, College Park. My other passions include music (especially guitar), literature, hiking, and hanging out with my dog Schnitzel.
